Charles Joseph Gillies, Sr. passed away September 12, 2017, and received peace, being released from the multiple sclerosis which had taken away his quality of life. Born in New Orleans, attended Abramson High School, and spent his career in the transportation industry as a truck driver and logistics supervisor. Survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Tracy Biggs Gillies, his loving sons Charles J. Gillies, Jr., Chad J. Gillies, grandsons Grayson and Jackson Gillies, and daughter-in-law, Christine Dick Gillies. Also survived by his sisters Lynda Bernis and Sharon Lassere, and brothers Patrick Gillies and Fredrick “Ricky” Gillies. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rita Faurie Gillies, his father, Fredrick Gillies, and his sister, Renee Gillies. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Rd. Covington, LA 70435 on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 12: 00 PM. Visitation from 10:00 A.M until service time.
