Charles was born and raised in New Orleans, graduating from DeLaSalle High School in 1955. He studied at LSU before embarking on a successful career in sales, retiring early to pursue other passions. He spent many years in Grand Lake, CO, his home away from home.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Joan B. Escousse, with whom he spent over 66 years, 61 years married. Charles was also preceded in death by parents Charles A. Escousse and Ursula Bernadette Murphy Escousse, his sisters Jeanne Escousse Zeringue and Adrienne Escousse Clark, and his son, Charles A. Escousse III.
He is survived by his children Anne Escousse, Adrienne Boan (Jorge Boan), Angelle Escousse as well as grandchildren Bennie DiMaggio, Jennifer Stubbs (Robert Stubbs), Christopher DiMaggio, Tucker Boan, Bowie Boan
Charles enjoyed many things in life. He loved to travel, football, and beer, but his biggest love was for his family. He got to spend over 66 years together with the love of his life, Joan, and raise a family with 4 children, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great -great grandchildren. He will be missed by many.
There will be a small, one hour prayer service held on Monday, July 14, at 10AM at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home.
