Charles Anthony Creekmore

It is with heavy hearts and profound respect that we announce the passing of Charles Anthony Creekmore, known to many as "Charlie," who departed this world on April 5, 2026, at the age of 60. Charlie passed away peacefully at his beloved home in Kenner, LA, surrounded by the warmth of those he cherished.

Born on November 11, 1965, in New Orleans, LA, Charlie was the treasured son of Edward "Leo" and the late Patricia Creekmore.

Charlie cultivated an impressive career as a floor supervisor at the Treasure Chest Casino, where he dedicated 32 years of his life. His colleagues often spoke of his sharp humor and calming presence, qualities that not only made him a beloved supervisor but also a trustworthy friend. Charlie possessed an unparalleled ability to maintain a cool demeanor even in the most hectic of situations, a skill that endeared him to both his colleagues and the patrons of the casino.

Outside of work, Charlie found solace in the simple joys of life, most notably fishing. Many of his weekends were spent by the water, casting a line and enjoying the tranquility that it brought him.

Charlie was a graduate of Brother Martin High School, an institution that laid the foundation for his lifelong pursuit of knowledge and personal growth.

In matters of the heart, Charlie was blessed to share his life with his devoted partner, Yvonne M. Vallette. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams in Kenner, where they resided happily for 26 years. Their partnership, which began in 2000, was a beacon of love and companionship that inspired all who knew them.

Charlie is survived by his loving father, Edward L. Creekmore, and his cherished grandson, Jeremiah J. Cheadle. His sister, Sandy Creekmore Shafor, remembers him as a steadfast brother whose love and humor brightened her days. He is also remembered by his life partner, Yvonne, who was his confidante and the love of his life.

Charlie was predeceased by his beloved mother, Patricia C. Creekmore, and his dear son, Jordan Alexander Cheadle, whose memories he held close to his heart.

As we bid farewell to Charlie, we remember a man whose life was a testament to kindness, humor, and love. His legacy will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.

Rest in peace, dear Charlie. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will forever remain with us.
