Charles Kenneth Burr (Ken), went to be with the Lord on February 14, 2023, at the age of 88. Born on May 20, 1934, in Rochester, Michigan, Ken led an adventure filled life. He graduated from Rochester High School where he met the love of his life, Barbara Ann Allen. As seniors, they were voted ‘most friendly’ couple and were married three years later. Ken enlisted in the army as a Specialist 3 - corporal and was stationed at Fort Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska where he completed his active duty. He entered the army reserves until he was honorably discharged in 1962. After active duty, he enrolled in Michigan State University where he earned a B.A. in economics, graduating in 1956. Upon graduation, Ken worked for Sears and Roebuck and moved to Toledo, Ohio where he began his career in retail. Ken was promoted several times relocating the family from Ohio he lived since 1979. Ken went on to establish Northshore Personnel in Mandeville. He took great pride and satisfaction in helping people find jobs to better their lives. Ken was also a licensed polygrapher and administered over 5000 tests until he retired. Retiring allowed him to focus on his love of family and his hobbies. Ken was a sports car enthusiast, and loved camping, skiing, traveling, tennis and golf. Above all, he dearly loved God and his family and always put them first. He attended every event and supported every endeavor of those close to him. He considered the smallest triumph a huge success, always offering encouragement and praise. Ken was kind and compassionate, a loving husband and exceptional father to his children Cindy, Robert and Mindy.
