Cathy Marie Dean, age 64, of Slidell, LA, joined the presence of the Lord on Saturday, September 5, 2026. Born in the city of New Orleans, Louisiana. 

Cathy is preceded in death by her loving parents, Mary Kate Dean,  James C. Dean, dear sister Sandra L. Walker, and brother-in-law Michael R. Walker.

Cathy is survived by her son Richard James Ellis, daughter-in-law Abigail Ellis, daughter Jeniffer Marie Dean, stepdaughter Heather Fellon, grandchildren: Tyler Dean, Adriana Espinosa, Dominic Espinosa, Madison Ellis, Blake Fellon, and Bella Fellon, sister Mary Anna Arruebarrena, and brother JC Dean.

Cathy will be remembered for the love, kindness, and generosity she shared so freely with those around her. She was a caring and creative woman with a giving heart who never hesitated to help someone in need. She had a special way of making people feel comfortable, welcomed, and cared for. 

Cathy brought joy wherever she went. She was fun-loving, full of personality, and had a presence that could light up a room. Her warmth made people feel at ease, and her kindness left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know her. 

Above all, Cathy loved her family deeply. Her children and grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and her love for them was immeasurable. She treasured the time she spent with those she loved and found great happiness in simply being surrounded by family.

Cathy also had a deep love for God, and her faith was an important part of her life. She expressed that faith through the compassion, generosity, and love she showed to others. Her giving spirit, joyful personality, and ability to make others feel loved will remain a cherished part of her memory.

Cathy leaves behind a legacy of love- a love that will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, family, and all whose lives she touched.
