Carolyn Ann Lauland

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Carolyn Ann Lauland on February 26th, 2026, she leaves behind a legacy of crafting, caring, and making memories.

Born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Elwood Nicholas Camus and Gladys Carol Camus, Carol was an only child. Her parents instilled into her the importance of family and preserving the memories of the little moments that only become important when you can remember them later. Carol came to live in Mandeville and it is there that her family grew.

Carol, and the love of her life, Robbie Joseph Lauland Sr., filled their house with the sounds of children's voices. Donna Ellen Lauland, Ronald Elwood Lauland (Donna Golden) Robbie Joseph Lauland Jr. (Lisa Mayfield), Rhonda Lorraine Lauland Miller (Timothy Scott Miller), and Cheryl Lynn Lauland Modica (Ronald Modica) all in turn helped to transform that house into a home in their own way.

Carol's family grew again with the addition of grandchildren, Jessie Modica (Carrie), Francis Lauland (Ashly), Robbie Lauland III, Jonathan Lauland, Chelsy Karpa (Sean), and Brianna Lauland. It expanded further still with the additions of Great-Grandchild Jordan Modica (Megan), Carlee Modica, Aris Nikol Lauland and Great-Great-Grandchild Leo Lke.

Carol never lost her love of crafting, crocheting, or scrap-booking. She also loved family game nights and could often be caught sneaking a bowl of ice cream when she thought no one was looking.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents Elwood Nicholas Camus and Gladys Carol Camus; husband, Robbie Joseph Lauland Sr.; as well as her Donna Ellen Lauland, great-great grandchildren Mary Kate and Miley Modica as well as her son-in-law Timothy Scott Miller. The family who survives beyond her will remember her, always.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a visitation on Monday March 2, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Hwy 437 Covington, Louisiana 70435 followed by burial at Pine Crest Memorial Gardens.
