Ponchatoula

You were my gift from God, and I have been blessed for 37 years to be your mom. From the day you were born, your life was filled with challenges, but it was filled with resilience and meaning. You were the strongest person I have ever known.

Even though you never spoke a word, you taught everyone you ever met patience, empathy, kindness, and unconditional love. You had such a gentle soul. You smiled and laughed at times, when others would have crumbled. You were always strong and refused to give up.

Your life was never a sacrifice. It was an incredible adventure, and I was so thankful to be a part of it all.

I will be sad, knowing that I can’t see your face every morning when we start our day; but knowing that you are in heaven with your dad and grandparents, and that you are able to walk, run, laugh, talk, and never feel pain again, then I will be okay. I know that one day we will be together again. I love you, Kristofer. Love, Mom.
