A loving husband, a gentle soul, and a man who cherished life’s quiet joys… especially the sound of music, the laughter of others, and the love he shared with his beloved April and others.
Brian was born in Racine, Wisconsin to Marilyn and Raymond Werla. He was in the Marines for 4 years where he specialized as a heavy equipment operator before his career as an electronic engineer.Brian loved a wide range of music, especially his favorite band, Chicago. He enjoyed cooking, bird watching, flowers and greeting people with a handshake and a smile.
Preceded in death by parents Raymond Werla and Marilyn Trefren Werla and brothers John, Joseph and Leonard Werla. Survived by wife April Castelow Werla, son Brian Matthew Werla and siblings Theresa Werla Cicera, Carl Werla, Joanne Werla Neu, Jeannette Werla Welliams, William Werla, Neil Werla, Daniel Werla, Timothy Werla, Catherine Werla Talley and Julie Werla.
Brian’s love lives on - in the music he loved, in the smiles he inspired, and in the hearts of those he loved. May that love continue to surround and sustain them in the days to come.
