Betty Gottfried Blossman

Betty Gottfried Blossman, born on March 23, 1938, in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025, in Covington, Louisiana. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother.

Betty is survived by her beloved husband, James Sidney Blossman, Jr. Together, they built a warm and loving family, which includes their children Renda Simoneaux and her husband Brandon, James S. Blossman III, and Rebecca Blossman-Ferran. Betty was also a proud grandmother to Sidney, Samuel, and Harrison Simoneaux, as well as Elizabeth and Haas Ferran and the cherished sister of Karl Gottfried, Jr.

In her lifetime, Betty enjoyed many hobbies and interests that brought her joy. She was known for her love of crossword puzzles, fishing, gardening, and playing bingo. She was also a member of the Pete Fountain Better Half Wives Club, where she shared friendships and laughter with fellow members.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Karl Gottfried, Sr. and Frances Gottfried. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends for her warmth and love of life!

A memorial service will be held at The American Legion Post 16, 2031 Ronald Reagan Hwy, Covington, LA 70433 beginning at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 12, 2025.
