Barbara Adams Swan

Barbara Adams Swan passed away peacefully on Friday, February 2, 2024, at the age of 91.  She was born on November 8, 1932, to parents Martin and Nina Adams in New Orleans.  Barbara married her husband, Arthur John Swan, on January 28, 1956, and they lived in Metairie, Louisiana.  Five years later, she gave birth to her only child, Corbett Adams Swan. 

During her professional life, she worked as a nurse at East Jefferson Hospital.  She moved to Hammond, Louisiana in the 1980s and spent most of her remaining life there. 

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Nina, her husband Arthur, and her son Corby.  She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Jennifer, her four grandchildren, Zachary (Chelsea), Kennon, Emma, and Brody, and her two great grandchildren, Luke and Oliver.  Barbara was known to her family as Granny or Aunt Bobbie, and she will be dearly missed.
