Arthur Lee Jenkins Jr

Arthur Lee Jenkins Jr., 73, a resident of Folsom, Louisiana, passed away on March 11, 2026, in Covington, Louisiana. He was born on July 29, 1952.

Arthur was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Lee Jenkins Sr.; his mother, Almedia Smith Jenkins; his brother, Jackson M. Jenkins; and his sister-in-law Betty Jenkins and sister Darlene Jenkins Kelley.

He is survived by his son, Arthur Lee “Scooter” Jenkins III and spouse Brandy; his brothers, John C. Jenkins (Josey), David Jenkins (Carolyn), and Donald Jenkins (Maryanna); seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arthur was a lifelong master of towing vessels, proudly following in the footsteps of his father and siblings in the river industry. Outside of work, he enjoyed raising his pets and gardening. He loved his dogs and cats and had a special gift for growing anything—family often joked that he “could grow a rock.”

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, beginning at 11 a.m. at Barker-McManus Memorial Cemetery, 78468 Highway 437, Covington, Louisiana 70435.
