Arlene M. Handler, of Covington, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026, at the age of 92.

Arlene’s life journey was blessed by many meaningful chapters built upon her faith, her family, and her teachings. Her journey started in Chicago in 1934, and over her lifetime, also took her to New Orleans, Jackson, and Fairhope, Alabama. Arlene was a woman of grace and dignity, deeply known for her devotion to her Catholic faith, her family, and her community.

In her life, she was married to Charles F. Rosner, Jr., with whom she raised a beautiful family. She was later blessed to share wonderful marriages later in life to Milton Barwick and Fred Handler.

She is survived by her children, Charles F. Rosner III, Julie R. Coffey, and Hans Rosner; and her grandchild, Charles Alex Porterfield. She will also be deeply missed by her surviving siblings, Bonnie Wandry and Joseph Marcin, as well as countless nieces and nephews.

A Mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Gardens in Covington, Louisiana at a later date.
