Anthony Joseph Rockweiler

Anthony Joseph Rockweiler, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025 at the age of 68.

Born on March 31, 1957 in New Orleans, Anthony built a life defined by strength, love, and devotion to his family. He shared 48 years of marriage with his wife, Laurie, together raising two children, Anthony Jr. and Shannon, who were the pride of his life. His role as “Papi” was one he cherished most deeply, and he delighted in spending time with his four grandchildren: Sophia, Liam, Emma, and Skye.

A lifelong fitness enthusiast, Anthony found joy in bodybuilding, approaching it with the same dedication and determination that he brought to every aspect of his life. Whether in the gym or in the backyard with his grandkids, he inspired those around him to live fully, stay strong, and never take a single day for granted.

He will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his humor, and his passion for health and strength. His presence filled every room, and his absence will be felt by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Shedd Rockweiler and Ethel June Rockweiler. Anthony will be sadly missed by his wife, Laurie Parker Rockweiler; his children, Anthony Rockweiler Jr (Cassandra) and Shannon Thompson (Drew); his four grandchildren: Sophia, Liam, Emma, and Skye; his 10 surviving siblings; Marian Pleyel, Patricia Roser, Sandra Anderson, John Rockweiler, Peter Rockweiler, James Rockweiler, Carol Watkins, Steven Rockweiler, Cynthia White, and Mitchell Rockweiler; many cousins, nieces, nephews, his godchild Tara Hayes, and friends. 

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
