Ann "Gann" Elizabeth Blanc

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Ann "Gann" Elizabeth Blanc, who passed away on August 31, 2026, at the age of 74 years in Mandeville, LA. Ann was born on May 1st, 1952, in Sydney, Australia. 

Ann was the angel in our lives.

Ann was a loving wife, devoted mother, adored grandmother, loving sister and a celebrated friend. 

She will be remembered with deep love and affection on by her husband of 55 years and best mate Tony, and by her three loving children and spouses, son Christopher Blanc and Cheryl and their child, son Nathan, son Phillip Blanc and Jacq and their two children, Kai and Phoenix, daughter Antoinette Chimner and Adam and their two children, Jacob and Ivy. She is also survived by her sister Colleen Rees and husband John, her sister-inlaw Sue Savage and her many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her mother Isabelle “Jean” Savage and father Lawrence Savage, her sister Helen Kane, her brother Bill Savage and her brother-inlaw Bob Kane. Their memories remained a constant part of her life and story. 

Ann devoted her life to her family and gave herself completely to them and her closest friends. Ann was a gifted artist with her hands, always knitting, crocheting and tapestry making. Her sweaters and blankets will be cherished by all. She was a teacher of these arts and loved the moments of success of her children and grandchildren. A gifted cook, she delighted in wonderful family gatherings, especially Christmas and was so proud of her recipes and methods learned by her grandchildren. 

Ann’s passing leaves a place in the hearts of all who knew her. Ann’s infectious laugh and funny stories and the brightness she brought to every occasion are among the many gifts she gave to everyone she touched. 

May her memory bring comfort to her family and friends in the days ahead.

Our angel has returned to Heaven.
