Amber Steele

Amber Marie Steele was a caring mother, daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend. Amber, age 37, left this world suddenly on Friday, March 4, 2022, in Chalmette, LA.

Amber was born on July 27, 1984, in New Orleans, LA to Raymond John Steele Jr. and the late Rita Jeanne Walker. Amber was the loving mother of Elijah Jacob Comardelle and Colin Jay Lanier.  She was the beloved partner of Calvin Lanier. She is survived by her siblings, Hollie (Erik), Raymond (Rebecca), Jonathan, twin sister Ashley, and Ian (Nina). She was an aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. Amber will be deeply missed by many friends and family.

Amber was a lifelong student, pursuing a degree in nursing and healthcare administration. Amber’s greatest joy in life was her two sons and her family. She had a kind, tender disposition with a beautiful soul. She was warm, accepting, and loved to laugh. She will never be forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Hwy 437 (Lee Road) Covington, LA 70435 on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 2:30 pm. With visitation from 12:30 p.m. until service time.
