Emblem

Alfred Sidney Guillot, known affectionately as "Fred," left this world on May 11, 2025, in Kenner, Louisiana, just days shy of his 87th birthday. Born on May 17, 1938, in Mansura, Louisiana, Fred lived a life marked by devotion and achievement.

Fred was a man of remarkable character, whose life was woven together by his commitment to family, faith, and service. He proudly served in the Air Force, carrying out his duties with the honor and integrity that defined him. His military service instilled in him values that he carried throughout his life. A devout member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and an active member of the Knights of Columbus, Fred's faith was the cornerstone of his life. He found community and purpose in his church activities, embodying the principles of charity and fellowship. Fred's passion for golf brought him joy, providing him an escape on the greens.

He is survived by his beloved sons, Michael A. Guillot and his wife Julia, and Peter G. Guillot, along with his cherished grandchildren—Emily, Michael, Christopher, Catherine, Jacob, and Matthew—who will carry forward his legacy. Fred also enjoyed the delight of two great-grandchildren, William and Emersyn, who brought him immense joy.

Fred was one of nine siblings, surrounded in life by sisters Freda, Debra, and Bobbie, brothers Dickie, Walter, and David, along with the late Carole and Kenneth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Marjorie Guillot, as well as his beloved spouse, Lynne Jones Guillot, whose memory he carried with him daily.

Fred Guillot's legacy is one of resilience and love. He leaves behind not just family, but a network of friends and acquaintances who are grateful for the time shared and memories created. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
