Alex J. Friloux, Sr. passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at the age of 91. Alex was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Abita Springs for 84 yrs. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ocea Lee Jenkins Friloux, two daughters - Carol Creel (Earl) of Franklinton, La., Gayle Atkins (Richard) of Folsom, La. & A.J. Friloux, Jr.(Garie) of Mandeville. Grandfather of Tony Lala (Jessica) , Cindy Wheelis Ingram (Mike) and Amy Atkins. Great grandfather of Elizabeth Lala, Claire Ingram and Grace Ingram. Close friends of Marie Vincent , Lorena Galatas and many others.
Alex was a VFW member having served in the Navy during World War II in six major campaigns in the Pacific Theater.
A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the VFW or St. Tammany Hospice.
