Wilmuth Gladys “Billie” Cook Cleland passed away at the age of 88 years at her home in Covington, Louisiana on Monday, September 17, 2018. She was born on July 20, 1930 in Springfield, Louisiana to the late, Jules August Cook and Janie Meyer Cook. She was the beloved wife for 65 years of the late, Frank Marion “Pete” Cleland, Sr. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Jane C. Murphy (Thomas “Kevin” Murphy), Natalie C. Ratcliff, Frank M. Cleland, Jr.(Charlotte), Julie C. Cox (Kirt R. “Randy” Cox). She was predeceased by two baby daughters, Barbara Ann Cleland and Marilyn Sue Cleland and grandson Seth Leland Cox. She is survived by seven grandchildren, Joshua K. Murphy, Amy E. Murphy, Christy M. Kotter, Ken Aubrey Ratcliff, III, Frank “Bo” M. Cleland, III, Cpt. William C “Cody” Cleland and Sgt. Kirt “Kasey” R. Cox, Jr. She is further survived by seven great grandchildren; Tucker Tyrney, Kayleigh E. Kotter, Alexi J. Kotter, Hope Marian Cleland, Tristan M. Cox, Levi D. Cox and Steven M. Kinzer. She is also survived by her sister, Jean Alford, sisters-in-law Mamie Ryals, Dorothy Cleland, Josephine Cleland and brother-in-law Arthur Earl Ryals. She has been a lifelong resident of Covington, Louisiana. She graduated from Covington High School. She was a house-wife, homemaker and everyday took care of her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and outdoor activities. She will be greatly and sorely missed by her family. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to all family and friends for their prayers and support. Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Service on Friday, September 21, 2018  12:00 p.m. with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until service time at The Northshore Worship Center located at 1041 Ronald Reagan Highway, Covington, Louisiana. Interment will follow at Garden District Cemetery, 75161 Military Road (Hwy 21), Covington, Louisiana.
