Wayne Hebert Sr.

Wayne Joseph Hebert Sr. entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the age of 68. Wayne was a beloved and devoted husband of Patricia Messina Hebert for 45 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emile and Elaine Hebert and his in-laws, Vincent and Doris Messina. He was a beloved father to Wayne J. Hebert Jr. and father-in-law of Eva Morales Hebert. He was a beloved grandfather and role model to Austin J. Hebert. He was survived by his Brother Darrell Hebert (Rossana). Brother-in-law Joseph Messina (Peggy), Brother-in-law of the late Emily Messina (Norma) and Sister-in-law Mary Messina Zanco (Salvadore). He will be sadly missed and remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. Wayne had a strong passion for hot rods and being out on the water fishing. He was a resident of St. Bernard Parish before moving to Covington. He spent his lifetime working as an auto body and fender mechanic and building hot rods. He loved to watch drag racing and boat drag racing. He was a strong and hilarious character. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. A Memorial Service will be held at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Rd., Covington, LA 70435 on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 12:00 PM. Visitation from 10:00 AM until service time.
