Rodney Bordelon

On January 27, 2018, Rodney M. Bordelon, age 65, entered eternal rest after enduring a hard- fought battle with cancer. He is survived by his sister, Bobbie (Roberta) Verheugen and her husband Jules: a brother, Robert J. (R J.)   Bordelon, Jr .and his wife Dottie and a sister Debra Chetta and her husband Clay. Rodney is the son of the late Robert J. Bordelon, Sr. and Shirley Grab Bordelon. He was a native of New Orleans, former resident of Kenner, LA and became a resident of Ponchatoula and Springfield, LA. He enjoyed his time with friends and playing guitar in his band Bootleg.  .Rodney’s lifelong friend, Woody Mulkey and his wife Cheryl are especially appreciated for their heartfelt kindness and generosity during Rodney’s most difficult times. Additionally recognized is his Brother R. J.  and wife Dottie for their constant care, compassion, and support. Rodney is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. He will be sadly missed. All are invited to attend the Memorial Service on   Monday, February 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Rd., Covington, LA 70435. Visitation from 9:30 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society.
