Margie McKenzie

Margie Nelleen McKenzie, 72, a resident of Franklinton, passed away on September 15, 2018.  She is survived by a loving husband Alonzo McKenzie, a daughter whom she cherished Angela Callender (Casey), four grandchildren Amber Killingsworth, Macey Thomas (Gage), Cody Stringer, and Courtney Magee (Chris), six great grandchildren Waylon, Mason, Shelbylyn, Justin, Jaelin, and Tristan all of whom she loved dearly. Surviving siblings include Ann Jenkins, Nell Jenkins (Otis), Kendall Smith (Janie), and Edward Barber. Also a brother in law Joe McKenzie, and sister in laws Eva Bigel and Pauline Eragus. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father Dewitt Smith, her mother Lillie Creel, siblings Sue Green, Ruthy Magee, and Lucy Barber, and a dearly missed son Wendell Stringer. A great granddaughter Chaselyn Stringer. A sister in law Minnie Cardona, brother in laws Jessie, Oscar, Gilbert, Rena, Arthur, Gonzola, and Homer McKenzie. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 22 at 11:00 am at Hayes Creek Baptist Church located at 29028 White Hayes Creek Road in Franklinton, LA.
