Joseph Desmond

Joseph Thomas Desmond, Sr. passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at his home in Covington.  He was born August 3, 1938 in Gonzales, LA to the late Martin and Anna Mae Desmond.  Joe was married to his beloved wife Jo Ann Desmond for 52 years.  He was the loving father to Joseph Desmond, Jr. (Beth), Eric Desmond (Angie), Elizabeth Desmond (Bill), and Edward Desmond (Misty).  Joe was very proud of his 11 grandchildren Tiffany (Roy), Dusty (Jordan), Angel (Freddie), James, JoAnne, Rebecca, Jeremiah, Jasmin, Miranda, Leah, and Jacob.  His greatest joy came from his 6 great grandchildren Swade, Sadie, McCoy, McCain, Keilen, and Leon.  He is survived by a brother Shelby Desmond and sister Alice Desmond.  He is proceeded in death by parents Martin and Anna Mae Desmond and Edward and Claire Blow, one brother Gilbert Desmond and two sisters Ann Plescia and Linda Eva. Joe served his country for 8 years in the Louisiana National Guard from 1956-1964.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend services at Northshore Worship Center 1041 Ronald Reagan Hwy. Covington, LA. 70433 on Wednesday March 28, 2018 with visitation at 10:00 am until service time at 12:00 pm.   Burial will be private.
