Jo Melder

Jo Ellen Melder, age 62, of Kentwood, LA passed beyond the veil on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center, Covington, LA.

Jo was born in Alma, AR on February 25, 1956 to Cross Milton Caraway and Mary Margaret Snyder Caraway. The mother of seven children, 27 grandchildren, and a growing number of great-grandchildren, she was an enthusiastic Do-It-Yourselfer with an abiding love of fishing, gardening, and caring for animals of all types. Jo was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jo is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, two brothers, and one previous husband.  Those left to mourn her loss include her husband of ten years, Arthur Zane Melder of Kentwood, LA, sisters, Angie of Little Rock, AR and Mary, of Orlando, FL, as well as children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren scattered across the United States and Canada.
