Hazel Fay Luke Calcote, born on June 09, 1941 (age 77) entered into eternal rest on Thursday January 24, 2019 with her husband John Willis Calcote Jr. (Billy) by her side. Mrs. Hazel Calcote was a native of Aruba, lived in Metairie for many years and recently resided in Abita Springs, LA. for the past 12 years. Beloved wife of John Willis Calcote Jr. for 59 ½ years. Mother of Sonya Calcote Buerger (husband, Michael), John Calcote III (wife, Jody), C. Vincent Calcote, Raymond Calcote (wife, Temple), Scott Calcote (wife, Rhonda). Grandmother of George Deroche Jr., Garrett Deroche, Greg Deroche, Jenny Deroche, Michael Buerger Jr., Luke Buerger, Kristen Calcote Bordelon, Jaclyn Calcote, John Calcote, Matthew Calcote, Katie Calcote Flowers, James Calcote, Gracie Calcote, Rochelle Calcote, Raymond Calcote Jr., Blake Calcote, Scott Calcote Jr. Great Grandmother of Emery Deroche, Layla Maude Deroche, Emma Deroche, Ella Deroche, Emersyn Deroche, Haven Flowers, Elijah Flowers, Isaiah Flowers, Silas Flowers, Avangeline Flowers, Jenna Calcote. Daughter of the late Marie Maud and Lenzey F. Luke, Sr. Siblings the late Doris Kuhn(Hebert), the late Shirley Murphy(Joseph), the late M. Grace Luke, the late Lenzey Luke Jr (Ann), James Luke(Blanche), the late Mary Louise Knipe (Pete),the late Rose Luke Willis (Ronald), late Gerald Luke. Daughter-in-law of the late John Willis Calcote Sr. (Dora Holmes). Sister-in-law of the late Mary Ella Delaune (Charles), Ernest Calcote(the late Judy) and Marie Englade.  Also survived by many loving relatives and friends. Hazel was known to be a very generous, social and loving person with many friends that will also miss her.  We will dearly miss our mother, but take solace in knowing that she is in heaven rejoicing with our Lord. Hazel’s other love was to fish, dance and cook.Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass on Saturday February 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, Covington, La. 70435, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
