Frank L. Foxworth, age 82, of Covington, Louisiana, passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, December 1, 2019. He was born in Richton, Mississippi to Reverend R.D. Foxworth and Flara H. Foxworth. Frankie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. His best and first love was for his wife, Sue. They met and married while still in high school. They were married for over 62 years, during which they had two sons, four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Frankie loved to be with his family and enjoyed family reunions. He also took great joy in visiting with countless friends. Frank worked for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development for 35 years. After his retirement, he and Sue went traveling in their motor home. They delighted in taking the grandchildren camping. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and sports. Frankie was a great cook and took pleasure in preparing food for all occasions. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend R.D. and Flara H. Foxworth; brothers, Rosier David, Jr. and David Foxworth; sisters, Lanelle Dement, Mildred Mays, Syble Roberson, Lois Delk, Patricia Minton, and Faye Breland. Frankie is survived by his loving wife, Sue Foxworth; sons, Greg (Kathy) and Jeff “Red” (Brenda) ; grandchildren, Jared (Katie), Traci (Matt), Kelli (Troy), Sky (Tiffany); great-grandchildren, Addison, Jacie, Amelia, Zane, Jack, Lanie and Lexie, sisters, Mary Gregory of Jackson, MS, and Eyvonne Heck (Ray), brother John “Norman” Foxworth, and nieces and nephews too numerous to list. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at New Zion Baptist Church at 12:00 p.m. with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at the Barker McManus Cemetery.
