Dolores Jenkins Carter

Dolores Diane Jenkins Carter a native of Covington and a resident of Madisonville passed away at home after a long battle with cancer with her family by her side in the early morning hours of May 3, 2018. She was born November 6, 1956 in Covington, St. Tammany Parish, LA. and was a longtime employee of Cleco electric. Dolores loved taking care of her beautiful yard full of Daylilies and was looking forward to devoting full time to her yard upon retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Helen Mae Meyers Jenkins , an older brother Edward William Jenkins and a niece Erica Noel Jenkins. She is survived by three brothers and two sister-in-laws, Charles Ray Jenkins of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, Gary Stephen Jenkins of Waveland, Mississippi, Thomas Eric and Brenda Jenkins of bush and Ann Katherine Curry Jenkins of Covington,  longtime friend Melanie Golden and companion A.J. Coniglio. Nieces, Jennifer Elaine Seeley, Jennifer Nicole Philips, Brandy Michelle Berry, Wendy Ann Jenkins, Letitia Marie Jenkins and nephews Jeffery Charles Jenkins and Shane Michael Jenkins. She is also survived by ten great nieces and four great nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Mary Queen Of Peace Catholic Church 1501 W Causeway Approach, Mandeville, Louisiana on Monday May 7, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. Visitation from 11:30 a.m. until service time. Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Garden Covington, Louisiana.
