Homas Paul Motichek Sr. passed away peacefully on December 25, 2018. He was born on December 24, 1939 in Madisonville, La to the late Louis Francis Motichek and Mary Mathies Motichek. Homas was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Iris Marange Motichek. He was the loving father of Christine M. Taylor (Gerald), Homas “Paul” Motichek Jr. (Lori), Brian P. Motichek (Lynn) and Elaine Motichek. He was the proud grandfather of Mandie Spell, Kenneth Prejean Jr., Courtney Motichek, Stacia Boucher, Hanna Puckett and Jacob Rogers and great-grandfather of Sarah Spell, Faith Spell, Abbie Prejean, Hunter Prejean, Natalya Ryan, Justin Stafford and Bonnie Stafford. He is also survived by his brother Larry Motichek and sister Shirley Bayliss. Homas worked as a welder for many years. As well as serving time with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, where he assisted with the Jr. Deputy program and worked in the jail. After retiring Homas enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. He was also a member of the Ponchatoula Lions Club. A small graveside service will be held at a later date.
